"One-Sided" Relationships No More TBD

    • Self-Improvement

"One-sided" relationships, where you feel like you're over-giving, trying too hard, receiving breadcrumbs in return & never actually getting your needs met  - no matter how much you offer up - are ALL too common.

That's because the true nature of giving & receiving is deeply misunderstood.

Most of the time we give with an expectation, even when that expectation is silent or unconscious. Cultivating a practice of giving from the heart - the kind that isn't bound by the feeling of grasping for a result or attachment to very specific outcomes - takes practice, self-awareness & clear intentions.  Real generosity isn't conditional & doesn't come with any attachment whatsoever - it's like love, infinite & limitless.

I'll be diving deeper into this topic in November's Zen Den Membership workshop -  RECIPROCITY: The Art of Giving and Receiving -  we'll start with a brief talk/spiritual teaching on how to create more mutually nourishing relationships, deepen intimacy & amplify genuine generosity in your life also by transforming your mind - then move through a guided meditation practice to release scarcity (rooted in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition) & end with time for Q&A (60 mins). All workshop replays are available in your member portal if you can't make the live call.

Every monthly meditation workshop is open to all Zen Den members. To attend the November workshop, join either the Basic or Inner Circle Plan here: https://www.alisonlessard.com/zdm
