In this week’s episode, I am joined by Maddy Alexander-Grout, money specialist and founder of the Mad About Money app. Maddy shares her incredible story of recovering from debt and spending addiction and being diagnosed with ADHD in her late thirties. 
She created the Mad About Money app to offer users a social media alternative:  “a place where people could talk openly about money, life, mental health and business, experience their journey with other people cheering them on.”


Maddy has amassed a huge following on TikTok, her platform of choice and shares the story of how she grew her following from zero to more than 40,000 followers in a short span of time. 


Maddy Alexander-Grout is an ADHD Money coach and founder of Mad About Money App, having spent her 20’s in over £40,000 of debt, and her 30s learning everything she could about money management, savings and spending patterns. Maddy Launched Mad About Money in May 2023 as an alternative to traditional social media. A positive space that is all about education and community support helping people to be better with money, understand their brains, and focus on self-care and development in a non-judgemental space.
