Katie Brown grew up very poor as a share cropper's daughter. Her father was a mean alcoholic and her mother left when she was 3, leaving a terrified and defenseless Katie. She was taken into the foster care system when she was 8 where she wasn't safe until she was put into a home for girls in her late teens where ironically she was told she would be unsafe. Flashbacks began when she was 34 and turned into abductions by aliens in UFO's. Could this be true? What did it mean? Follow Katie's fascinating journey as she untangles her story to find truth. Katie is tenacious in her quest for truth and her foundational belief in the goodness of God and her trust in Him in her process of healing. She is inspiring and a joy to to witness her journey.

How to Be a Helper with Rebecca Davis
Rebecca Davis joins us today for a wonderful conversation on how to become a helper. There are so many caring listeners who have asked how to step in to the lives of survivors to make a difference. Rebecca brings practical advice to make the steps understandable and doable for anybody who is willing to increase their capacity and listen to the pull on their heart. The interesting idea is that this will not only help with sra survivors, but this increases our compassion for the hurting people who are around us every day. The steps Rebecca lays out gives us the ability to begin to reach out where before we may have been stuck in the headspace of wanting to help but just not knowing what to do. Rebecca's Website is referenced below and is totally worth going there as she has blogs that are as encouraging and full of information as this interview is. She also has her Untwisting Scriptures book series, link below, that is also well worth the investment as she is bringing truth in mind blowing ways to places where the Word of God has been misapplied and misunderstood. Such heartbreaking truth that needs to be shared
I found this podcast last week after searching for information on SRA. Wow.. I’m so glad I did. I believe the Lord has been preparing me to be a support for SRA survivors since I was a little girl. These stories are harrowing and heartbreaking but they are REAL. I believe all of your testimonies and just love how Jesus heals and how much He cares. Thank you Lisa for this podcast.
Not too great.
Not entirely sure if genuine or grifter, but either way there’s a lot of very sussy stuff in this podcast. Most of the claims made do not hold up to basic scrutiny, and I fear mis/disinformation like this could be detrimental to how we as a society view and handle child abuse. Talk of conspiracy theory abound, “It’s everywhere, it’s very common, it needs to be stopped, we know who’s doing it, yet can’t provide any evidence to back up our claims.” In addition, a lot of the claims about flashbacks and memory repression by the host demonstrate that she has a very warped understanding of psychology, as much of what is claimed is either misrepresentations of real topics, or based on long-debunked pseudoscience.
Personally, I don’t believe a grift. I do believe the host and a LOT of the guests on this podcast when they say they were abused as children. It’s heartbreaking, and I’m sorry they had to experience something so disgustingly horrific. But The claims about it being abuse in the name of Satan at the hands of witches is problematic, unproven and getting in the way of the REAL problem of child predation. A much simpler and more logical explanation would be that sometimes, evil, messed up people who have access to children do evil and messed up things. No need to muddy the waters by dragging the devil into it.

I appreciate you! However, many of your guests are way too early in their healing journey to be speaking publicly. They aren’t healed enough to be sure they don't live with handlers, have reporting alters, know the whole truth of their history, etc.
