The Arabian Nights - The 258th Night and Final Episode!!

The Final Episode - The 258th Night features the end of the story of Badr, Jullanar and Jauhara and brings to an end the 271 nights of stories told to the King by Shaharazad to stay alive and prevent her meeting the fate of her predecessors in the morning. I hope you have enjoyed this long series of tales as much as I have enjoyed reading them. David

David Clarke

Mr. Clarke is a fantastic actor. I first heard him on LibraVox and he was so excellent, I did not want to listen to anyone else! I was thrilled to discover Opera Vox. I am enjoying
David Copperfield. I wonder what he will read next. Can’t wait!!

My favorite reader!

I am a long time fan of Mr. Clarke’s Librivox recordings- particularly his Sherlock Holmes stories, which I have listened to many times. His voice is pleasant and mellow, and I often turn the stories on to relax and feel immersed in a different world. I very much look forward to his forthcoming readings in this podcast!

He’s marvelous!

I first came across David Clarke on LibriVox where, alongside (I believe) all the Sherlock Holmes works, he has posted a reading of my long-time favorite book, The Count of Monte Cristo. This is a book I read at least twenty times in high school alone, so the best praise I can give Mr. Clarke is that he does that book justice. There are even particular line readings (for example, a sighed “Indeed.”) that I will rewind to listen to again. He doesn’t just read these books; he reads each character. His work here holds up to the high standards his LibriVox work sets.
