This isn't a typical podcast. It's just a little show, recorded in the great outdoors. Hosted by Cait Flanders (author of Adventures in Opting Out + The Year of Less), each week we'll head outside and explore our inner worlds. See you out there, friend.
Naming Feelings (Early and Often)
Historically, I have a pattern of not sharing when I'm struggling with something, until I have mostly worked through it. I'm trying to actively change that pattern—and this episode is an example of how and why. This one might be especially helpful for anyone who is going through a transition.
Finding Calm After a Storm
I'll be honest, friend: this episode is largely a reflection of some climate anxiety I'm experiencing and how it shows up for me. BC is in a state of emergency, and I'm thinking of everyone impacted by the recent floods. 3
Big News (and a Few Tears)
I'm back with some big news! If you've been listening to the show, you won't be surprised by it... but somehow, I am still experiencing some shock and awe. And, feeling a lot of feelings about what's happening. No apologies for the tears!
Hi friend! Season 3 will begin on November 14th, and I would like to extend a formal invitation for you to be part of the podcast. If you're interested, here are simple instructions on how to record + send me an audio file. I can't wait to hear and share your voice. :)
It's the last episode of the season! And this feels like a great topic to end with. Over the years, growth has become one of my highest values. I share what that really means to me, why I tend to call it "invisible growth" instead, and describe how it looks and feels in my body and mind. I'll see you back here on November 7th! Take good care, friend.
Consuming and Creating
Years ago, when I was first embracing minimalism + mindful consumption, I held the belief that we should be creators, not consumers. Now, I know the importance of doing both.
Cait is a refreshing voice to listen to as she dives into real topics. I appreciate the vulnerability and the rawness of the episodes! Great podcast
This is a really low key and relaxing podcast to listen to. I like to listen while walking outdoors, and listening to Cait’s unscripted musings makes me feel like I’m walking with a friend. I also enjoy the outdoor sounds of birds, wind and ocean that are in the background. If you are looking to relax but also to have food for thought I highly recommend this podcast.
This is the podcast that helped me out the most this year in terms of staying grounded, being involved in heathy self-care routines and making sure I connect with likeminded people that share similar experiences. Cait makes you feel like you are friends even though you may have never met and I enjoy every episode so much! 😍 Thank you for everything! I’m looking forward to the future of the podcast and (hopefully) some in-person events in different parts of the world as well ☺️ ( ➡️ Germany 🇩🇪)
