Orange County Hardcore Scenester: Aftermath #280 - Scenestop #20 - The Old Spaghetti Factory Orange County Hardcore Scenester: Aftermath

    • Music Interviews

Today's SceneStop brings us to The Old Spaghetti Factory in Newport Beach, CA. In the the 1990s this place was a hardcore hangout of the highest order.

However, it wasn't limited to hardcore bands. You might have some pasta with members of BIG DRILL CAR sitting a few tables away. The singer of your favorite band might be your server. Some straight-edge roadie might
even be tending the upstairs bar. You might park feet from the water with your car packed in like a sardine around other cars.

Step back into a time machine as myself, David "Doc"/"PowerPlay" Robinson, and his lovely family accompanied me on this journey back to this 90s treasure. Thank you to Doc's son for shooting portions of this. I believe your name is Justin, but I am not 100% sure.

The best part of this Scenestop?

The food was every bit as good as we remembered it

being! Yay!

These videos are part of an ongoing video series chronicling the hardcore punk music scene. They are an addendum to the film Orange County Hardcore Scenester. This is a documentary I made that chronicles the 1990s hardcore punk scene. You can watch ORANGE COUNTY HARDCORE SCENESTER here:
