Michael recalls the struggle of trying to stay warm in freezing temperatures, without looking like the Michelin Man. Taking inspiration from an Astronaut Scholarship, Michael obtained the material known as aerogel to insulate space suits, and transformed it into a patented composite, known as SOLARCORE; claiming to be the warmest insulation on Earth.
