Our Island in the City is a conversational-style podcast all about community. I'm your host, Jodi H. Grubbs, a former Bonaire island girl and a gatherer of people and stories.
This is a space where we connect, ask deep questions on our faith journeys, laugh, linger over beautiful but ordinary moments and incorporate aspects of every day island living as we gather to hear each other.
If you long for a deep sense of belonging, need to know you aren't alone in the hard parts of life and want permission to slow down a little bit in your busy week ... you might have just found your people.
Join me as we welcome a different guest each episode. We've saved a sunny spot for you near the sea breeze and city skyline.

Her Journey Towards Change ,

A Great Podcast and Even Better Host

I just recently subscribed and have been listening to a few of Jodi’s episodes. I have to say, she is a natural in leading her guests into an organic conversation. I also enjoy the concept of soul care. I, for one, need it. I look forward to following along with each episode. This is a great find and Jodi is a gem.

Great show

Great content that highlights the goodness of God!

AFARI ,

A respite for the busy and those wanting to slow down

As an island girl myself I was drawn to the title of Jodi’s podcast first. But the heart of the podcast is that the experience of rest and calm can be had by anyone, anywhere. This greatly appeals to me as a recovering perfectionist and stressaholic. Jodi is a wonderful interviewer as well and I enjoyed hearing new perspectives on loving a slower life. Give it a listen!!
