    Physician Maureen Michele was faced with a medical challenge from an unexpected perspective: that of a parent. When her daughter received two different life-altering diagnoses, Maureen was already managing a full plate of career, household, and family responsibilities. Managing her daughter’s chronic serious illnesses tested her mettle in ways she could not have imagined, and the journey strengthened her fortitude in every area of life.



    Maureen’s success in managing this journey has added another title to her resume: Life Coach. Maureen now coaches parents of children with serious chronic illnesses, and she has written a book to help them learn to manage the stress and logistics of this parenting challenge. Reclaiming Life: A Guide for Parents of Chronically Ill Children weaves themes of identifying and changing unhelpful thoughts with specific suggestions on how to approach family caretaking responsibilities and goal-setting in general. She talks with Shannon Fisher about the helpful tips and tricks in the book that can turn an overwhelmed caretaker into a nearly-unshakable boss.

Amy's goal is to enable as many women as possible to have the opportunity to regain the natural coloration of their nipples, which is only possible is thru tattooing.  Pink Ink Fund helps ease the financial burdens along the path to complete healing.

    Amy attended the prestigious Columbus College of Art and Design.  After college, she interned at a tattoo shop and ultimately ended up buying the business from the owners.  She has been rated the Best Tattoo Artist/Studio in Richmond Magazine and Style Magazine multiple times, and was also named RVA Magazine’s Best Local Tattoo Artist.
