Episode 130 - Ryan Moore
Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with Founder and Owner of UMR Sports, Florida Vibe Team President, and the Executive Director of the American Collegiate League, Ryan Moore.
In the last couple years Ryan has been making his mark on the softball world. With his formation and success of the Florida Gulf Coast League, it has given way to the Heartland Collegiate League, the Music City Collegiate League and the Vegas Collegiate League that all run under the same umbrella, called the American Collegiate League or ACL. These leagues give college athletes the opportunity to continue playing when their college season is over and goes a long way in helping with their development and success. Ryan is also instrumental in the formation of the Florida Vibe Professional Team who are set to begin their 3rd season this summer.
We’re gonna talk to Ryan about how he got involved in the softball side of things, his amazing UMR Sport facility in Bradenton, Florida, how the ACL got formed, what the future holds and much, much more.
Ryan was an absolute blast to chat with. Definitely, one of the good guys in our game. I’m so excited to see what else is in store down the road, actually, he does drop a little breaking news in this, so keep your ears open for that one. -
Episode 129 - Dallas Kipfer
Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with the owner and founder of DK Softball and current member of the U23 Canadian Men’s National Team, Dallas Kipfer.
Dallas is one of those up and coming talents here in Canada that is not only showing his talents on the field but also giving back in a big way by training other athlete’s in the game as well with his DK Softball.
On the field, Dallas is a two time National Champion, winning Midget in 2017 and Junior in 2021. At those 2017 Midget Nats, he was top batter and All-Star 3rd base. Last season he was an All-Canadian competing at the Junior Nats in Carp, Ontario with Owen Sound, where he captured a silver medal. He’s now gearing up to represent Canada down in Argentina in April at the U23 WBSC Men’s World Cup.
We’re gonna talk to Dallas about getting his start in the game, representing Canada at the Junior World’s in 2018 on home soil, starting DK Softball, expectations for Team Canada down in Argentina and much, much more.
Dallas was an absolute beauty to chat with. Not only am I excited to see what's in store on the field for him but also with the athlete development side of things as well.

Episode 128 - Chelsea Gonzales
Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with Arizona State Sun Devil alum, 2020 Olympian and current member of the Smash It Sports Vipers of the WPF, Chelsea Gonzales.
Chels has had a fantastic career to date. She was a 2014 Pac-12 All-Freshman All-Conference team selection, and a 2017 All-Pac-12 First Team selection while at Arizona State. She would then go on to play in the NPF for the Cleveland Comets, which set the stage for her competing in the 2020 Olympics with Team Mexico. Chels is now competing in the WPF with the Smash It Sports Vipers and will be looking to help them as they enter their second season.
We’re gonna talk to Chels about getting her start in the game, becoming a brand new mommy after the birth of her beautiful daughter Leilani in December, her time at Arizona State, those 2020 Olympics and of course, playing for the Vipers in the WPF.
Chelsea was an absolute pleasure to chat with. I’m so excited to watch her and the Vipers compete this summer, I’m sure big things are in store for her, the team and the league. -
Episode 127 - Cory Jones
Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with WBSC Men’s World Cup silver medalist and current member of the Canadian Men’s National Team, Cory Jones.
Jonsey has had quite a career to date. He was a member of the 2008 Canadian Junior Team that won a silver medal in Whitehorse, was an All-Canadian in 2019 with the Grande Prairie Pirates and as mentioned, a big part of the Canadian Men’s National Team that brought home a silver from the WBSC Men’s World Cup a few month ago down in New Zealand.
We’re gonna talk to Jonesy about getting his start in the game, the influence his Dad played in his development, his lifetime contract he signed with Grande Prairie that he doesn’t really recall, of course, the World Cup and much, much more.
Jonesy was an absolute pleasure to chat with. Hopey and I are excited to see what kind of big moments lie ahead for him. Just as long as it isn’t against the Mastodons this summer at Nats, hopefully it's all good. -
Episode 126 - Danielle Gibson
Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with University of Arkansas alum, current volunteer coach with the Georgia Bulldogs and Athletes Unlimited star, Danielle Gibson.
Gibby has had a fantastic career to date and she’s still going strong. She is a two time NFCA All-American, 2018 NFCA Freshman of the Year Finalist, two time All-SEC Defensive Team selection and 2022 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Finalist. She also holds the distinction of hitting for the homerun cycle back in 2019. Not only that she did it in 4 innings. That’s just insane. Of course, we’re gonna get into detail on that.
We’re also going to chat about how she got her start in the game, her time at Arizona State, the transfer to Arkansas and her time there, as well as, her journey into pro with Athletes Unlimited and much, much more.
Gibby was an absolute pleasure to chat with and I’m so excited to see what the future holds for her on and off the diamond down the road -
Episode 125 - Seneca Curo
Outside The Chute sat down and chatted with utility, redshirt junior with the UCLA Bruins, and Barona, California native, Seneca Curo.
Seneca is currently going into her 4th season with the Bruins and is the ultimate utility player. Last season alone she played five different positions, 1st, 2nd, short and 3rd, and then some in the outfield.
We’re gonna talk to Seneca about growing up on the Barona Indian Reservation in southern California with her parents and four brothers. How she made the transition from baseball to softball, her whole recruiting process to UCLA and, of course, her mom’s amazing enchiladas.
Sen was an absolute treat to chat with. I’m so excited to see what is in store for her this season and life after UCLA. I’m sure big things definitely are.
