Welcome to Own Your Voice!
On today's episode, I had the opportunity to interview Khaya Maseko, an incredible European actor and entertainer! He first made his mark in the musical theater world, which began at the South African National Children’s Theatre. After winning a Naledi Award for Best Newcomer, he joined Disney’s "The Lion King" as cover Simba and part of the ensemble, which took him to Hong Kong, Switzerland and across the UK!

In late 2016, he made the decision to pivot his music career and focus on his journey as a solo artist - a decision he made after starting a job as a singer and pianist at the Piano Works in Farringdon. Soon after, he began work on his first EP entitled “Better Late Than Never”.

Khaya is also a part time composer and has composed dance pieces for Hong Kong's Fringe festival and The Place’s “Resolution” Dance festival.
