Alum Tommy Gantt talks about his upcoming match at Wrestling Underground - NCS69

NC State alum Tommy Gantt comes on board for the latest edition of the #PackMentality Pop-Ins Podcast to talk about his upcoming match at Wrestling Underground, a pay-per-view promotion that will air this coming weekend on UFC Fight Pass and has the support of one of the most polarizing figures in sports, Chael Sonnen.
Gantt will face four-time All-American and past NCAA champion Mark Hall, a recent graduate of Penn State in one of the night’s premier bouts. Host Brian Reinhardt talks to Gantt about the whole process and more on a short, but always informational episode of the show.

    2020 ACC Champion and second-team All-American Jakob Camacho - NCS67

    2020 ACC Champion and second-team All-American Jakob Camacho - NCS67

With head coach Pat Popolizio still trying to get his charcoal grill lit, host Brian Reinhardt didn’t have time to wait for Episode 67, so he reached out to Connecticut native and 2020 ACC Champion Jakob Camacho to hold down the fort.
Camacho was the No. 10 seed at the 2020 NCAA Division I Championships but didn’t get to compete as COVID-19 cause the NCAA to cancel all winter and spring seasons in early March. Camacho was named second-team All-American by the National Wrestling Coaches Association.

April update with coach Pat Popolizio through the Skype machine - NCS66

April update with coach Pat Popolizio through the Skype machine - NCS66

Brian Reinhardt fires up the “Skype Machine,” for Episode 66 of the #PackMentality Pop-Ins Podcast. It’s great that Brian and Pat Popolizio have discovered Skype in the year 2020. I mean, it was founded in 2003, but the show must go on as Pat and Brian talk about the new normal.
Brian and Pat talk about the things that are going on in terms of the off-season training, the schedule and the weight management.
One of the big topics towards the end of the show is talking about the NWCA Scholar All-America team announced on Thursday, April 30. Where does NC State check in? The attendance figures also came out last week. How’s that matter to the Pack as well?

Coach Popolizio has done a great job since arriving in Raleigh 6 years ago. He's a great coach and ambassador for the sport. This is an excellent podcast... meet the coaches, wrestlers, and learn all about the program.

Doing it the right way

Great insights into the Packwrestle program. As an NCSU alum it makes me proud to see Pat & team building a national power the right way, recruiting quality kids and instilling the Packmentality. Thanks for giving us a window into the great things happening in Raleigh!
