I sit and chat with a wide ranging set of individuals from both inside and on the outside of the Tabletop/RPG/Boardgame industry about their experience, insight, & motivations.
Put on a show whilst you are painting and hear the stories behind your fellow geekers and the people that created the games you know and love.
I hope you enjoy.
Ep 215: Dave Baker Trenchworx
In this episode I speak once more to the awesome Dave Baker of Trenchworx. Trenchworx work out of Utah in the US and A and help companies create and produce minis for their games along with doing an awesome range of their own. If you want to hear more about history and initial steps from trenchworx then go back to Ep 120 and you can hear from Dave when we met for round one.
In this episode we talk about their new venture into releasing STL files for 3d printing and also 3d printing in general. 3d printing is a new thing for me that I very recently started to discover. I will be doing some episodes over the next weeks and months talking to people in this area as it is an area that has been growing and developing over recent history and its pretty cool.
Ep 214: Thinking about and ACTUALLY playing more
In this episode a joint venture with Matthew from Bedroom Battlefields ( https://bedroombattlefields.com/about/) we chat about common reasons why we cant play and some things we can all do to play as we see fit.
Ep 213: Opinions on Kickstarter with Zach
We talk about our feelings and observations about Kickstarter, we recorded this on our PATM discord server (email email@example.com if you want in to this) and my job in the chat was to voice my own ideas on KS but also to play devils advocate at times and tease out Zach’s ideas and views.
It was an interesting conversation and one I feel we all need to have with ourselves if we havent already as personal control and knowing yourself is critical if you are going to make more decisions that you believe to be correct than otherwise. Knowing what you like/dont what makes you feel good/doesnt is imperative so that we aren’t used as a tool by others for their own intended aims.
We tried to make the chat balanced, positive, and insightful, giving us both, and possibly yourself food for thought about your own antics and actions, but that is up to you isnt it. It doesnt matter what I say and do, that doesnt affect you, it all comes down to you, and if you are happy then do that, if you aren’t then try something else. I will leave it there as I dont want to tread on the episodes toes, as mentioned already if you want to talk about more stuff like this then grab your space hopper and bounce on over to the PATM discord as I always value external input when figuring out my own direction on things.
Ep 212: Kelly B
In this episode I speak to Kelly who talks to use about DnD, about character creation, evolution, and representation on the tabletop. This is another show I recorded ages ago, sorry to Kelly for how long it took to come out, it bears no reflection on my enjoyment of the conversation.
Ep 211: Nick Komarev
Hello and welcome to episode 210 of the paint all the minis paint ramble podcast.
The show where we strip everything back and just have a relaxed chat with someone who’s as into the hobby as you are,
In this episode I speak to Nick Komarev a normal hobby man just like you and me. We talk about his hobby journey and his love of Star Wars Armada.
I’m releasing this now as he just posted about his vasectomy on our discord, so I thought he can listen to this whilst his nads get better. Put some ice on them Nick and all will be well.
Salute is Coming!
I talk with Jon Harrington about planning and prepping for the Paint All The Minis stand at Salute 2021, how the pandemic forced us to create PATMOCON, and our general level of excitement for exhibiting at a convention in person.
Makes Me Want to Paint and Play
I love listening to this podcast. Lots of insights from industry people but the best episodes are the “why I love XYZ game” conversations with average joes.
Sustainable games episodes are some of the best episodes in the series very enjoyable
