Custom Sneaker Chronicles: Pizza Hut Sneakers and Atmos Nike Air Max 1s
In episode 8 of the Custom Sneaker Chronicles, we chat a bit about the first couple weeks of custom work from March 2017. To start, we examine a bit of the Pizza Hut-themed sneakers you may have seen floating around the Internet. Word is they were the work of The Shoe Surgeon who has built his brand through customizing sneakers. Next, we take on the re-release of the Nike Air Max 1 Atmos whose elephant print and jade blue Swoosh have spawned a few customizations of their own. These Atmos inspired customizations also gave speculation that we would see that transition made for the Air Jordan III that accompany them for this March release. To finish we continue by each sharing a pair of customs we liked from the recent week.

Our Custom Sneaker Chronicles Podcast Is Back!
We started the Custom Sneaker Chronicles podcast back in 2013. From there until 2015 we never held up our end of the bargain, only recording 6 episodes. Yet, we still feel there is a lot to talk about in custom sneakers, so the time do so is now. There has been a fair amount of growth the past year for sneaker customization and we continue to see new work show up online. The goal of this site and our podcast has always been to set a standard for what a quality custom is and what deserves recognition over the majority. So picking up the podcast we start out with a topic that seems to have been all over Instagram for 2017 and that is customs taking on the Louis Vuitton and Supreme collaboration. We talk about why it's been popular and what decision you should make as a customizer when it comes to a popular hype theme such as this. Later we cover a bit of adidas attention to customization for recent marketing and we have a few other random sneaker discussions. We end with our thoughts on a few customs that stood out to us in recent days.

Custom Sneaker Chronicles EP 6: Jacob Patterson Interview
Whether you've been customizing sneakers for over a decade or are itching to give customizing a shot this podcast should definitely get you more excited about where customs have come and what might be ahead. In this talk Mike Miscannon of @RedRibbonRecon and myself sat down with Los Angeles based customizer and art gallery manager Jacob Patterson. Patterson's custom sneaker work is recognizable for the documentation on YouTube that he shared when he started in the mid 2000s. Over the past couple years he has moved away from customizing as his main focus while still working on occasional projects that come about as the result of living in a city such as LA.
We chat about Patterson's entry to customs, some of his significant work with recognizable people and brands, and his goals for the future of customs. Below are specific customs of Patterson's that are mentioned and a few others from different artists.

As we get back to it in this revival episode we discuss a few things that have been happening such as releasing work on special days, designer + customizer collaborations, and sneaker customizers who have added products to help supplement their custom brand.

You guys are getting better with time! Work on the “cricket” moments between speakers is the only concern I have. Thanks for making this Podcast for customizers like myself.
