Pan-American Highway with MakoVenture Budget Overland

In this episode of the Budget Overland Podcast, we have a great conversation with Makoventure! Austin and Ashley, full-time overlanders from Alaska currently looking to conquer the Pan-American Highway in our 1982 Toyota Chinook resto-mod.
Completed a full, frame-off, restoration on our Toyota Chinook.
We combined a 1978 Chinook shell, with a 1982 4wd chassis and the drivetrain from a 1999 4runner.Compiled a savings that would allow us to quit our jobs (heavy equipment mechanic and field technician with Alaska Fish and Game) and travel overland for two years.
Displayed our vehicle in all three Overland Expo DIY showcases.

We are, as always, working to improve our vehicle as we go, right now we are building a bumper storage box and trying to integrate a snorkel.
