Getting Your Child on the Right Path with Polly Schulte

Welcome to Season 9, Episode 39, of the ParentingAces Podcast. This week Lisa speaks with Tennis Parent Polly Schulte about her daughter's developmental pathway so far.
To watch the video version of this week's podcast:
    https://youtu.be/tDOqCN8ulQE
Margaret Schulte just turned 12. She lives and trains in Louisville, Kentucky, with her parents and her older sister. When Margaret began to get frustrated with her lack of tournament results and improvement, her mom became concerned that she would lose interest in tennis altogether. Polly decided it was time to make some changes in Margaret's coaching situation and turned to the ParentingAces Podcast for some guidance.
Polly took special interest in the episodes featuring coach Todd Widom. Some of the things Todd spoke about really hit home for Margaret, so she decided to reach out to him about bringing Margaret to Florida for an assessment and some coaching.
In this episode, you'll hear Polly talk about Margaret's experience and how she's using her limited time with Todd and his partner, Pierre Arnold, to maximize her development. It hasn't been all butterflies and rainbows, but Polly feels very strongly that she has found the right coaches to help her daughter reach her Tennis Goals.
For more information on Todd Widom, click here to visit his website. You can email Todd at todd@twtennis.com.

Naomi Osaka's Hitting Partner on Personal Growth Through College Tennis with Karue Sell

Naomi Osaka's Hitting Partner on Personal Growth Through College Tennis with Karue Sell

Welcome to Season 9, Episode 37, of the ParentingAces Podcast. This week, Lisa speaks with former UCLA Men's Tennis standout, Karue Sell, about his recent gig as US Open Women's Singles Champion, Naomi Osaka's, hitting partner, and his move into the world of Tennis Technology.
The impetus behind this week's pod was a tweet Karue posted recently:

He went on to tweet about the personal growth afforded to players who choose the college route for their tennis which led me to reach out to him again and invite him on the show.

Not only has Karue parlayed his college tennis career into a position as the hitting partner to the most recent Slam winner, but he has also partnered with other former college tennis players to form a new tennis website called MyTennisHQ. The site contains information for players of all levels, including technique lessons, equipment reviews, and interviews with current and former college players.
If you are interested in reaching out to Karue for more information on his company and/or for lessons for your junior player, the best way to contact him is through a message on Twitter or Instagram.
