You know the feeling when you maybe aren't as up to date with politics or current events as you think you should be? Or maybe you can't pronounce the wine at a dinner with friends? OR maybe you are building a house like Ashley and you don't know which power tool someone wants you to hand to them when they ask for a skill saw.

It seems like in your 20's you start to realize people are like... really smart! Sometimes that can be a little intimidating! On this episode we are chatting about situations we have been in where we may have left feeling unintelligent. We also discuss how as we get older or mines expand and how we learn in new ways based on new experiences.

Ep. 167: Finding a Job That Fits Your Life, Not a Life That Fits Your Job

Ep. 167: Finding a Job That Fits Your Life, Not a Life That Fits Your Job

NEW EPISODE! Have you ever noticed how at a young age we are told to pick a job and then develop skills and a lifestyle to fit around the job we picked? On this episode we are discussing how to pick a job based on the life you want and the personality traits and skills you already have.

We  create a 5 year plan and visualizing the life you want and work backwards! How often you want to go on vacation? Where do you want to go on vacation? What does your day to day will look like? Do you have a lunch break? How long is it? Do you work remotely or do you have a commute? Is it creative work or is it data driven? ALLLL the nitty gritty details.

After that... we work backwards! What jobs allow you to have that lifestyle? How do we achieve those careers? This concept is something we think might allow you to have more long term fulfillment in a career!
