The Science of Tasting Wine Part 2

The Science of Tasting Wine Part 2

It’s Monday, Let’s raise a glass to the beginning of another week. It’s time to unscrew, uncork or saber a bottle and let’s begin Exploring the Wine Glass!
Today, as promised, I am sharing the second part of a fantastic seminar I attended hosted by Serial Wines in Paso Robles. I hope you enjoyed the first part. Today, we continue with the senses and how to relate to the taste of wine. The background noise is a bit louder, (as more alcohol was consumed.) As a reminder, the event was for industry and it was right up my alley. It was the science of taste. This is particularly near and dear to me as I have a published article in Wine Folly on the topic. (in fact one of the images used in the seminar was taken from that exact article - what a pleasant surprise!) This is a great seminar, and has a lot of intriguing information. Please note, that as with all recordings like this, the audio is not at peak, but I still think you will fully enjoy it. The second part of the education seminar will be next week! So be sure to come back.
If you listen to a lot of podcasts, you know that many ask for patreon. We do not plan on doing this, but we do ask you to support the podcast by leaving a review. It takes only a few seconds of your time but means so much to the show. The next best way to support Exploring the Wine Glass is to tell your friends. If you enjoy the podcast, your wine loving friends will too. Finally, don’t forget to head to the website, Exploring the Wine Glass.com to read the blog, and sign up for the newsletter so you can keep up with all the happenings.  Slainte!

Wine of the People, By the People, For the People; 915 Lincoln

It’s Monday, Let’s raise a glass to the beginning of another week. It's time to unscrew, uncork or saber a bottle and let’s begin Exploring the Wine Glass!
Today I am sitting down with Scott Matthews of 915 Lincoln Winery in Paso Robles. Scott’s tasting room is located in beautiful downtown Paso. As mentioned on the downtown website, (see show notes for link) The Paso Robles downtown wine district is a captivating destination for wine enthusiasts. It offers convenient wine tasting with a diverse range of options from established wineries to boutique producers, allowing you to experience a variety of wine styles. The district’s accessibility and proximity make it easy to navigate and explore different wineries without spending excessive time commuting.
While you are listening, take a moment to subscribe, rate and review Exploring the Wine Glass. Taking one minute of your time is the only way the algorithms will suggest Exploring the Wine Glass to others and since you are enjoying the podcast, other winelovers will too!

Wine Questions Answered on Winephabet Street

It’s Monday, Let’s raise a glass to the beginning of another week. It’s time to unscrew, uncork or saber a bottle and let’s begin Exploring the Wine Glass!
Today we return to Winephabet Street where the letter of the day is Q and it stands for questions. Debbie and I answer some of the questions that we have received over the past year.  We remind everyone that there are no dumb questions and that if you enjoy a wine, then that is all that matters. Drinks what you like and don’t feel embarrassed to ask a question to learn more.

It’s Monday, Let’s raise a glass to the beginning of another week. It’s time to unscrew, uncork or saber a bottle and let’s begin Exploring the Wine Glass!
Today I am sharing the audio from a webinar I attended late last year sponsored by the Wine Scholar Guild on the Wines of Georgia. It was an intriguing webinar jam packed with so much information. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Sharing the Cab Franc Love in Paso Robles

Sharing the Cab Franc Love in Paso Robles

It’s Monday, Let’s raise a glass to the beginning of another week. It’s time to unscrew, uncork or saber a bottle and let’s begin Exploring the Wine Glass!
Before I get into the podcast, I wanted to let you know that Apple had a podcast update. This caused an issue with the automatic downloads.  If you are not receiving Exploring the Podcast in your “next up” feed, it is because the settings have changed. Please go to library, then shows, and click Exploring the Wine Glass. If you don’t see a checkmark in the top right corner, next to the three dots, the system does not download automatically. Please click on the down arrow and turn on automatic downloads. This will put a checkmark next to the three dots. This will allow you to always know when a new episode drops.  Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you so much for following Exploring the Wine Glass.
If you have been following me for a while, you will know that I am the founder of Cab Franc Day. I created the holiday back in 2015 and still am in shock at how the holiday has flourished. There is so much Cab Franc love out there, it truly warms my heart. Today, there are celebrations all over the world recognizing Cab Franc Day and this podcast is a recording of one of those celebrations - in Paso Robles. Please note that this was in a large room so the sound is not as crisp as it typically is.
