Pastor John's Life Change Moments

Treasure Top Ministries

The most important decision anyone can make in life is where they are going to spend eternity because all people will spend eternity in one of two places, either in heaven or in hell. Because all sin must be paid for ("For the wages of sin is death, but the gracious gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23, LSB), we all need a Savior. We cannot save ourselves; only God can do that. No magic phrases or baptism can save anybody. Our mission is to bring the word of Jesus Christ to those who do not know Him and to those who feel they are not worthy enough to be considered by Him. No one can be saved without first hearing the word of Christ. Romans 10:13–17 (LSB) says: "For 'WHOEVER CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.' How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? And how will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, 'HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO PROCLAIM GOOD NEWS OF GOOD THINGS!' However, they did not all heed the good news, for Isaiah says, 'LORD, WHO HAS BELIEVED OUR REPORT?' So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ." We help people free themselves from the prison of guilt. Learn more with Pastor John Haggard at TreasureTop.com.

  1. Jesus Still Prays for Believers

    Jesus Still Prays for Believers

Jesus Still Prays for Believers: John 17, Christ's Intercession, and the Model of Prayer In this biblical message from John 17, discover how Jesus Christ's High Priestly Prayer reveals that He still prays for every true believer. Learn how Jesus prayed for His own glory, for His disciples' protection and sanctification, for future believers' unity, and for the believer's ultimate perfection in His presence. This teaching explains Christ's ongoing intercession, the meaning of justification and sanctification, and why Jesus alone is our Great High Priest and perfect mediator before the Father. And then learn what Jesus taught as the model of prayer for when you pray. Whenever we come to God in prayer, we must be sure there is no unconfessed sin. Unconfessed sin blocks out communication with God and blocks our ability to receive what God has in store for us. So before we ask anything in God's name, we must ask forgiveness of our sins and be willing to repent (turn away from) our sins, not continuing in the same repetition of those sins. Proverbs 28:9 says, "He who turns away his ear from listening to the law, Even his prayer is an abomination." Psalm 66:18 - "If I regard wickedness in my heart, The Lord will not hear…" John 9:31 - "We know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is God-fearing and does His will, He hears him." God delights in forgiving sinners, and He even saved the chief of sinners, the Apostle Paul. God is the God of second chances and a new start: "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (John 1:1:9).

  2. What the Bible Says About Betrayal and Healing

    JAN 23

What the Bible Says About Betrayal and Healing

In this Life Change Moment, Pastor John Haggard from TreasureTop.com addresses the pain of betrayal and what the Bible teaches about responding to it. Scripture shows that while people may fail us, Christ never will. We are called to cast our anxiety on God, trust His righteous judgment, and remember that betrayal cannot cancel God's purpose for our lives. Through the examples of David, Joseph, and ultimately Jesus Himself, we learn that God uses even painful circumstances for His good and our growth. If you need forgiveness, peace, and a new heart, remember this: full forgiveness is free through Christ, because Jesus paid the price for our sins. Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone:  "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not of works, so that no one may boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9, LSB). 2 Questions Many Ask Am I Truly Saved? 3. Are You Ready for What Happens When You Die?

    10/01/2025

Are You Ready for What Happens When You Die?

Are You Ready for What Happens When You Die? Death is not something most of us want to think about, yet Scripture makes it clear—eternity is written on every heart. Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes 3:11 that God has set eternity in the human heart, while James reminds us that life is a vapor that quickly vanishes (James 4:14). None of us are promised tomorrow. Whether through sudden accidents, illness, or natural causes, death can come unexpectedly, and with it comes the unavoidable reality of eternity. The Bible teaches that God's Word is "living and active" (Hebrews 4:12), not just an ancient book, but a divine revelation that speaks truth into our lives today. It reveals that eternity is certain, and that every person will live forever after death—either in God's presence or separated from Him in hell. Hebrews 9:27 declares, "It is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment." But God has made a way through Jesus Christ, who alone died, rose again, and is alive forevermore. Believers in Him receive eternal life, while unbelievers face judgment. Jesus Himself warned to "be on the alert, for you do not know the day nor the hour" (Matthew 25:13). That is why the Bible urges us to be ready now, not later. There are no second chances beyond the grave. This message also explores the often-avoided doctrine of election, showing from Scripture that salvation is not based on human effort but on God's mercy and sovereign choice. Yet we are commanded to spread the gospel, because faith comes by hearing the Word of Christ (Romans 10:17). The question remains: are you ready for what happens when you die? Eternity is forever. There are no do-overs or second chances for anyone who does not accept Christ before they die. Learn more about topics like these by clicking here.  2 Questions Many Ask Am I Truly Saved? 4. What is God's Providence in War and the Defense of a Nation—and what is our role as believers?

    06/25/2025

What is God's Providence in War and the Defense of a Nation—and what is our role as believers?

In light of recent events in Iran, we explore the crucial question: What is God's Providence in War and the Defense of a Nation—and what is our role as believers? Drawing from Psalm 33:10–12 and other key Scriptures, this episode lays out four Biblical truths: God Rules Over Nations and Wars – Daniel 2:21 and Proverbs 21:1 remind us that God raises up and removes leaders according to His purpose. War Can Be a Tool of Divine Judgment or Protection – Ecclesiastes 3:8 and Romans 13:3–4 teach us that governments are divinely appointed to restrain evil and protect the innocent. God's Sovereignty Doesn't Remove Human Responsibility – Micah 6:8 reminds us to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly—even in decisions of war. God's People Must Pray for Leaders and Soldiers – 1 Timothy 2:1–2 calls us to intercede for those in authority so that peace and godliness may prevail. As Christians, we must trust that no war, ruler, or outcome exists apart from the sovereign will of God. Our calling is to act with justice, pray with urgency, and rest in God's perfect plan. 🙏 "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord." – Psalm 33:12 2 Questions Many Ask Am I Truly Saved? Easter Is a Matter of Life or Death

What if Easter didn't happen? What if Jesus never died, never rose again, and wasn't alive today? Then your faith would be meaningless, the Bible a lie, and death would truly be the end. But… He did rise, and that changes everything. In this powerful episode, you'll discover why the resurrection of Jesus Christ is not just history—it's your eternity. We'll uncover two words that will change your life—or how you think about your life—forever: Eternity and Forgiven. If you've ever wondered whether Easter matters to you personally, this episode will bring clarity, conviction, and hope.
