Paul Dahmen | Behind the Canvas ICONIC HOUR

    • Fashion & Beauty

Paul Dahmen is the Gallery Director at Markowicz Fine Art’s third location in Laguna Niguel, California. He was inspired to start painting with oil and acrylic paints by the age of nine with the encouragement of his grandmother, who had painted her entire life. However, an artist’s life was not in the cards for him because he could not get through a university drawing class to save his life.
Dahmen graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature and Art History from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He moved to Los Angeles after his studies to work in the film and television industry, and did so for over a decade, with the goal of working in the arts in some capacity in the future.
Although he couldn’t draw, his passion for the arts never diminished. He decided he would prefer representing artists in a gallery setting to help “connect the dots” between art collectors and artist’s creations. This true passion led him to Laguna Beach to actively pursue his art gallery career.
