Paula Young | Lost Her Son Andrew To Fentanyl And Fighting The Addiction Crisis Don’t Hide The Scars. Presented By PAIN: Parents & Addicts In Need

    • Non-Profit

PAIN @painnonprofit is honored to welcome Paula Young the Co-founder and President of Achieve Greatness and Andrew's mom.

Achieve Greatness was founded in memory of our beloved son, brother, and friend, Andrew, who passed away from fentanyl poisoning in March of 2022. Before Andrew’s passing, he was passionate about coaching and teaching basketball while helping youth in his community. He created Achieve Greatness, where he mentored youth through basketball.

In his memory, we have continued Achieve Greatness, building it into a nonprofit organization. Our mission is to continue to capture Andrew’s vision of sponsoring youth through basketball camps and other sports while also bringing awareness to and educating people about the dangers of fentanyl. In addition, we will also utilize our platform to address opioid use and addiction in our communities.

Paula Young, PAIN Founder Flindt Andersen and Jason LaChance discuss the following and more.

What is the origins of Achieve Greatness and how does it honor Andrew's original vision ?

Is marijuana being laced with fentanyl?

What is the difference between a fentanyl overdose and a fentanyl poisoning?

Is enough being done to not only bring awareness to the fentanyl crisis, but addiction prevention and solutions as well?

What has Paula's experience been when dealing with legislators on fighting the fentanyl crisis?
