    Offensive Prayer – Confession

    Offensive Prayer – Confession

    Date:   November 13, 2022

    Scripture: Psalm 32, James 5:13-16

    Speaker: Pastor Jon Delger

Theme: As we look at the important aspect of confession in our prayers, there is much to confess. We are to confess our (1) faith in Christ, (2) our sinful state, and (3) our need for God’s provisions in our life. As Ligonier Ministries says, confession is that “we remember who we are when we come into God's presence, we see that we have come short of His holiness and have need of His forgiveness.”

    Offensive Prayer – Adoration

    Date:   November 6, 2022

    Speaker: Pastor Ryan Kimmel

Haunting: The Sequel – Drink my Blood

Haunting: The Sequel – Drink my Blood

    Date:   October 30, 2022

    Scripture: John 6:48-58

    Speaker: Pastor Ryan Kimmel

Theme: Jesus gave hard teachings throughout his entire life, but when he calls people to eat his flesh and drink his blood, we see people get disgusted, take offense, and stop following him, but Jesus doesn’t back down from his teaching. He knows that to spiritually eat his body is to bring his life into your own, his eternal life. This is how closely we are to be with Jesus, that we are one in him!

Haunting: The Sequel – The Unforgivable Sin

Haunting: The Sequel – The Unforgivable Sin

    Date:   October 23, 2022

    Scripture: Luke 12:8-12

    Speaker: Pastor Jon Delger

Theme: In a follow-up series to last year’s “Haunting; The Words of Jesus that Scare Us,” we’ll be taking October and the Halloween season to look at what is truly scary: TRUTH! Truth that Jesus spoke about what it means to follow him in this dark world. Taking ‘scary truth’ from each of the four gospels, we’ll see the standard Jesus raises in what it means to follow him, but we’ll also see in this the path to true joy and everlasting life.

Haunting: The Sequel – Sell Everything

Haunting: The Sequel – Sell Everything

    Date:   October 16, 2022

    Scripture: Mark 10:21

    Speaker: Pastor Ryan Kimmel

Theme: The story of the rich young ruler is a famous encounter of Jesus. We see a well-off young man that means well and tries to keep obedience to God’s Law, but then we see Jesus ask to do the one thing the man can’t do, to sell everything. While it may seem that Jesus asked the impossible, or he was just being mean, the truth is that Jesus wants us to have life in the fullest, even if that means giving up everything – and this is not just the teaching of Jesus. It’s the example and sacrifice of our Lord himself.

Haunting: The Sequel – You Must Be Perfect

Haunting: The Sequel – You Must Be Perfect

    Date:   October 9, 2022

    Scripture: Matthew 5:43-48

    Speaker: Pastor Ryan Kimmel

Theme: Yes, it’s true: Jesus tells us that we must be perfect as God is perfect. This causes significant friction with our cultural excuse that “nobody is perfect.” While it seems an impossible standard, the beauty of the Gospel is that Jesus does for us, what we cannot do for ourselves, but herein lies the difference between Christians and prevailing culture: Jesus gives us a call to perfect when the world gives us an excuse not to be.
