Important resource for weight loss

Weight loss is one of those things that are uncomfortable, difficult, and challenging. But one thing people may not realize is that it’s closely tied with your thoughts and how you perceive the world around you. This podcast challenges you to go beyond your body’s natural tendency towards instant gratification. It tells you eye opening facts about your body and gives you permanent tools to successfully lose weight and positively affect other areas of your life. Though this may not be your typical podcast, the lessons will resonate and impact you so much more than you know!

MAXIMUM RELEVANCE!

If you are a nurse, you know a nurse, you have a job, you are interested in health and wellness, you want to improve your lifestyle, this is the podcast for you. Because in reality, The Nurse Weight Loss Coach, Charmaine Platon’s agenda is relevant to everyone.

I am an active RN in the ED and listening to Charmaine’s perspectives allows me to remember to take care of myself not only while at work, but in my own lifestyle outside of work.

“Neutralize the circumstance.” In one of her episodes she mentions stress at work and how to control it. Every day is an unpredictable day. It’s true, no one day will ever be the same as another. So when presented with a perceived stressful situation with factors that are outside of your control, recognize what you can control to guide the desired outcome of the circumstance.

“How we think about our time determines how we feel about our time.” Time is neutral and it’s up to you to control how you invest it. You have complete control over your time. Charmaine helps me understand that when you choose to go to work, you choose to invest your time in a block of time that can be very unpredictable. So whatever happens within that time period of work, remember you’ve given yourself that amount of time to neutralize unpredictable circumstances. ***Stepping into a shift knowing I am dedicating 12 hours of mind exercise and control versus feeling overwhelmed with work is an example of how I think and feel about my time.

I am learning and controlling my perspectives and Charmaine helps guide my understanding of self-care. You must give care to your holistic self before being able to fully explore giving care to others.
