In this episode we are so excited to welcome Cecilia Nieves with AnimalLuvr’s Dream Rescue. You will learn more about the incredible and very modern rescue organization. AnimalLuvr’s Dream Rescue has a mission to rescue and care for dogs and cats that are critically ill and/or injured. These animals would otherwise be euthanized due to lack of owners, funding or space. The rescue is dedicated to providing the medical care, basic needs, socialization and training needed to place them into responsible and caring permanent homes. They also place a great deal of emphasis on educating the public about the pet overpopulation crisis, the importance of spaying/neutering and responsible pet ownership.

Laura Souza, owner of G Girl Productions, is known by many as an event planner extraordinaire but those who know her well know that her true love is animals and working every day to help rescue the less fortunate from shelters, puppy mills, and horrible mass breeding situations. Coming from a performing arts and theatre background she has used that experience to organize themed events that benefit rescues in need of funding to help save those animals. A following of supporters from all over the country attend her pet fashion fundraising events and greatly enjoy being able to have their furbabies join them. Ali J. Chernoff, is a Registered Dietitian who has over two decades of experience in the industry. She has started conducting dog nutrition counselling on the side especially focusing on transitioning dogs from dog food to whole foods! Who doesn’t want their dog to be healthy, happy and live a better life and, of course. have a shiny coat!

Since 1993, Ali has been involved in numerous activities related to the field of nutrition, including dietitian services at many schools and sporting events and family counseling. She currently offers food tours that focus on shopping for families, diabetes education, and food label interpretation.

She has been showcased in a variety of media formats including: CTV news, Breakfast Television, Chowtime, First Talk and the Shopping Bags, Chatelaine, Today's Parent, the Vancouver Sun, the Province, Ottawa Citizen and the Vancouver Courier, as well as News 1130, the Rutherford Show, and Evolution 107.9.

Ali started a second company called Energy Essentials 24-7 Inc. to develop healthy whole foods such as a 7% M.F. Low Fat cheese, called Essential that was sold in August 2016.

In the summer of 2010, she co-authored a book called Good Food Baby, which features healthy recipes and tips for parents. It has everything that they need to know about nutrition for their baby from birth to one year of age.

In the spring of 2011, she co-authored her second book called Good Food Toddler, which features healthy recipes, great ideas for menu planning, snacks and dining out options. It also offers tips on many common situations, such as dealing with picky eaters or planning a party for tots with food allergies.

She is an avid skier during the winter months and golfs in the summer, a true Vancouverite. Every year she tries to travel to an interesting place in the world to experience different cultures and try new foods.
