Discussions are Fantastic - Please no reader monotone.

I really enjoy the selections of books and discussions. The only thing that drives me crazy is that, when reading passages from the books, dear god use some voice variation. The monotone kills me. And one of you, I think has “actor” in your profile. I’m not expecting a dramatic reading, but emphasis and tone is important in trying to convey an idea - especially when the audio is not ideal.
I cringe with the droning when you read from some of my favorite books.

I won't say your name but please... quit.

I love the idea of this podcast. A book group discussing notable works of literature. When the Partially Examind Life promoted the podcast I subscribed immiediately. However, in my opinion, the podcast has a major flaw. The problem is that the group seems lop-sided. The majority of the contributers come across as deep critical thinkers and offer interesting insights but others bring the conversation to a halt with jokes or questions not on the level with the other contributors. I find it very disctracting. Right when things get interesting someone else ruins the level of sophistication that was building.

I still gave this podcast 3 stars because I love the concept and I do appreciate some of the thinkers here. And, I want to be positivie - I appreciate their efforts! Thank you!! But, I hope going forward, the group edits itself to ensure the conversation maintains a consistent level of sophistication in the discussion.
