A podcast about movies and the movies that inspired them. A good movie is the result of a large number of people both in front of and behind the camera combining to create a piece of art… But what about the movies that came before that inspired those filmmakers to make the movie? On Piecing It Together we figure out what the clear (and not so clear) influences were that make up the movies we love.

My Son Hunter (Featuring David Quinones & Gerry Doherty)

On the 261st episode of Piecing It Together, David Quinones and Gerry Doherty from the new podcast Why Are We Like This join me to cover a movie that I normally wouldn't give the time of day... But having my leftist buddies on to make fun of the Hunter & Joe Biden propaganda hit job My Son Hunter seemed like a fun idea. Puzzle pieces include The Wolf Of Wall Street, Atlas Shrugged, W and Saved By The Bell.

This episode gets heavily political, and listeners of the show should know I'm very left leaning... To all my friends on the right... Please don't review bomb me for this one. *Insert Big Smiley Face Winky Emoji*

A film lovers safe place

One interesting thing about loving and appreciating film is also having an appreciation for their director's. With this appreciation one might wonder, "what made them want to do this?" and that's what David is here to answer for you. Diving into a film and discovering the layers of inspiration within is one of the most interesting ways to review and discuss a movie and I absolutely love it. Definitely worth listening to! - Max from Galaxy Of Film

The Only Movie Podcast You Need

Whether you have seen, plan to watch, or have no interest in the movie discussed, David and the guests always have a great discussion that makes you look at films through a different lens. The unique perspective of the film score has also made me pay more attention to the music in certain films, whether in the theater or at home.
