It was a Thing on TV: Episode #99 - Kamelion on Doctor Who
This Week on It was a Thing on TV we meet maybe one of the worst characters in the history of a popular long running show.
Doctor Who has had many memorable characters in it's almost 60-year history on the BBC. However, not every character can be Sarah Jane Smith, Amy Pond or even K-9. Meet Kamelion, a robot who's apparently not a robot. A character so bad he only appeared in two televised Doctor Who serials but has since appeared in many spin-off Doctor Who books and audio dramas in which some of the plots of them will leave you confused.
On a serious note, our co-host Mike recently had a serious trip to the hospital which we address in the cold open of the episode. To help out with his medical expenses a GoFundMe has been set-up which you can donate to at tinyurl.com/klaussiestrong.
Diamond Conversations: Pat Zachry
Today's Diamond Conversations welcomes former Cincinnati Reds, New York Mets and LA Dodgers pitcher, Pat Zachry. A former Rookie of the Year with the Reds, Zachry was traded to the Mets in the infamous "Midnight Massacre" that saw fan favorite Tom Seaver traded away. With big shoes to fill and a whole career ahead of him, Pat describes what it was like to be thrust into the NY spotlight and how he managed. We also discuss his stellar MLB career and test his trivia skills in another Diamond Conversations instant classic.
Making Mt. Rushmore #3 - 80's Comedy Movies & 80's Action Flicks
In the third episode of Making Mt. Rushmore, panelists J Arsenio D’Amato, Shawn Kidd, Roger Morrissette & Matt Souza, discuss which 1980’s Comedy Movies deserve a place as one of the four greatest of all-time. Is Airplane! a no-brainer? What about Ghostbusters? Will Coming To America grab a spot? Does Caddyshack deserve a place? After that, they discuss which 1980’s Action Flicks will be part of that grouping. Can you argue that Raiders Of The Lost Ark shouldn’t get a spot? Will the Die Hard be included? Is Predator in the conversation? What about Commando, Top Gun & The Terminator?
