Engaging & Thoughtful Podcast

Plants and pipettes is a great podcast that analyzes current plant biology research. I can’t speak for everyone but it can take me hours, even days, to fully grasp a research paper and plants and pipettes breaks down everything for you. Unlike Science Friday (NPR), I truly feel as though plants and pipettes has a handle on GOOD science. I also appreciate their honesty like when they said “I don’t look too heavily in the methods unless I’m trying to recreate the experiment myself”. There is certain language in the podcast that may not make sense to everyone. For example: Downstream, Kinases, Phosphorylation, Etc.
Plants and pipettes defines these terms but not all terms. As a student studying plant biology I don’t dabble too much into fields I’m not particularly interested in so this may be a problem if I’m not familiar with a particular plant biology topic.
This podcast is something that will get plant enthusiasts more in tune with plant biology and hopefully make more people appreciate plants.
