240 - Bob Daisley (Rainbow, Ozzy Osbourne, Gary Moore and more‪)‬ The Andy Social Podcast

    • Music Interviews

The legendary Bob Daisley should be a household name, yet is nowhere near as celebrated in Australian music as he should be. Bob might be best known for his work with Ozzy Osbourne/Blizzard of Ozz in the early 80s, however he has also carved out a prolific career playing with the who's who of rock and metal. Household names such as Ronnie James Dio and Ritchie Blackmore, as well as Gary Moore, Tony Iommi, Yngwie Malmsteen, Randy Rhoads and many more.

While Bob's career in music is not spoken about nearly enough in the public domain, his book 'For Facts Sake' (Amazon/Utopia Records) is an eye opening autobiography that gives Bob the opportunity to set the record straight. Bob kept journals since 1976 which helped fill in many of the gaps left by others and also dumped hundreds of candid photographs from his personal collection, which will leave you in a constant state of awe. In my opinion, this is one of the best rock/metal autobiographies out there that I've read.
