    Into the Pensieve: Stuart Little

    Into the Pensieve: Stuart Little

Alice and Martha enter a world which is entirely E.B. White's own, which may or may not be a good thing. Is Stuart a mouse or not? What ever happened to Margolo? And what exactly were the publishers thinking? Stuart Little is quite the canoe ride and is nothing like the sisters remembered.

In this series, Alice and Martha reminisce on shared memories, inside jokes, and experiences reading both classic and lesser-known children's books, including favorite segments such as Quora Question of the Week, and Sorting Hat! Take Fives and character studies will continue, with this new episode format being added to the rotation with the other two formats.

Neville Longbottom: Character Study, Part 7

Neville Longbottom: Character Study, Part 7

Alice, Martha, and Jim Dale are back to finish discussing Neville. In the seventh book, Neville becomes--there's no other word for it--cool. As usual, this is obvious to readers through his long hair, his casual demeanor, and his habit of calling people by the first syllable of their name. Neville's arc is one of the best of the series, and Alice and Martha do take a break from mocking him to praise his final moments.

Neville Longbottom: Character Study, Part 6

Neville Longbottom: Character Study, Part 6

Neville's arc continues in the sixth book, though perhaps not quite as gracefully as readers might hope - there's still plenty of falling on his back, hitting his head, and of course, lighting his own pants on fire! Though Dean might still find him hilarious, Harry, Augusta, and McGonagall seem to view Neville with a newfound respect.

Neville Longbottom: Character Study, Part 5

I dink it's time for our fifth Neville character study, in fact I'b sure id is! After Christmas on the closed ward, Neville takes an "alarming" and "unnerving" turn as he becomes a master dueler, which he shows off at the Department of Mysteries -- a completely error-free enterprise on Neville and all the DA teens' behalf. This episode covers Neville's arc in the second half of Order of the Phoenix.

Neville Longbottom: Character Study, Part 4

It's time for Neville Part 4, which of course covers Neville in the first half of the fifth book! Alice and Martha discuss his amazing birthday present, a potential new nickname, and the turning point for his character arc in this week's episode.

Neville Longbottom: Character Study, Part 3

Alice and Martha pick up their conversation on Neville from several years ago, this time, hopefully, without repeating any content! In the fourth book, Neville continues his arc as the class dunce and is often the butt of the narrator's jokes. But with the revelation about what happened to his parents, Harry and readers begin to see Neville in a new light.

Quora-length second review/interrogation

I’ve reviewed this podcast before but I though I’d review it again, mostly for some comments and questions of my own but also to encourage all of the newbies who are listening to the Weird Sisters for the first time! Also, not sure if the user name will be the same, but last time I reviewed I was something with a bunch of symbols, I think the euro sign, but that’s because there is some weird security adjustment. Anyways, onto the important stuff. Sorry in advance if this review turns out to be as long as some Quora answers. First off, Martha, I too am a lover of broccoli and I don’t know why more people don’t like it. I also love you Jim Dale and Peeves impressions. Second, I feel like an idiot, but who’s Bim? I’ve been trying to figure it out and I’m stumped. And would you please do a sorting hat of Survivor: Kaôh Rōng? (Aka brains vs brawn vs Beaty). It’s one of my favorite seasons so far. Also, I’m sure you’re at least somewhat aware of the Dumbledore and McGonagall ship. Even though Dumbledore was announced as gay there are still shipers out there so I’m just curious about your thoughts on them. One last thing, if you haven’t seen the ‘gen z’ Harry Potter meme, it’s a must see. Thanks for the amazing podcast!! (And my “review” was as long as a Quora answer. That made me laauf)

Smartest Harry Potter podcast

I won't own up to this in a court of law, but I’m an avid listener to multiple Harry Potter podcasts. Alice and Martha are by far the best hosts out of all the others. They offer the smartest takes and their in depth looks at various characters is so fun. Also the Jim Dale impersonation is lovely and always great for a good lauuff.

Favorite podcast

This is my favorite podcast! I absolutely love listening to Alice and Martha, especially their impressions. They know the Harry Potter books forward and backward and I love hearing their opinions about my favorite book series. I’m so glad they decided to do character studies so I still have new shows to listen to each week. I also love the Take 5 series even though we all have to suffer with Tim. I would like to formally apologize for the first review I left many years ago where I praised Tim and said I enjoyed learning about film techniques which I think lead to the thankfully-now-over segment on the Take 5 series. I had just started the podcast at the time and didn’t realize the mistake I made including that in my review. To the sisters and everyone who suffered as a result, I’m so sorry. I will continue to listen to this podcast for as long as the sisters make new episodes!
