Rivalry Weekend, Coaching Carousel and Playoff Controversy Girls On The Sideline

    • Sports

This week on the Girls on the Sideline pod, Lindsay and discuss rivalry weekend, the different teams who lived up to the hype and some of the teams that were just too bland for a sports fan. Regardless, the girls think it was a success for football fans knowing there’s a different football game on TV each time you tune in.
They also share their thoughts on LSU’s coaching fiasco, their Final Four predictions, the controversial calls on Michigan, and what they think is not a good team this year. What are your thoughts on sports this week? Feel free to leave us a comment with your thoughts!

Highlights of Today’s Episode:
Louisville vs Kentucky game was an exciting game. The score looked like from a basketball game. Washington completely demolished Washington State. SEC had multiple upsets for the top 25 teams. Crazy statistic: If Alabama wins SEC championship, every single SEC team except Alabama will have at least 4 losses. The aftermath of Michigan’s loss to Ohio State. Controversial calls and Michigan’s coach got fined $10,000.00 for unsportsmanlike conduct which lead to a goal for Ohio State. The girls’ Final Four are Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, and either Penn State or Wisconsin. LSU’s coaching controversy was crazy. HORNS Digest was the only one reporting the latest news, a new coach was announced while LSU was playing, and the LSU players made a statement in their locker room chanting “Coach O!” in reference to Coach Ed Orgeron. Why they think Oregon is just not a good team.
Lindsay’s MVP & LVP of the Week:
This week’s MVP award goes to – The Ohio State vs Michigan match for living up to the hype. This week’s LVP award goes to – Liberty university and their tone deaf tweet upon hiring Ian McCaw.
