Heading to the Super Bowl! Girls On The Sideline

Welcome back to another episode of the Girls on the Sideline pod! Can you believe it’s time to start making your Super Bowl tailgate plans? What a crazy season! This week, the girls are talking about the Falcons heading to the Super Bowl to face off against the Patriots, their interesting game against Green Bay this past weekend, and the “embarrassingly bad” way the Packers played.
The girls also discuss the NFL’s plans to potentially launch a Developmental League in 2018 for high school graduates and how the girls think it might affect the future of NFL recruitment as well as the current state of the 2017 recruiting rankings.

Highlights of Today’s Episode:
Atlanta Falcons beats Green Bay Packers The girls’ predictions on how the Falcons will play in the 2017 Super Bowl – (Did they focus too much on the Packers game??) The girls’ thoughts on the college playoff championship games 2017’s Super Bowl matches up the highest rated offense in the NFL season against the highest rated defense – will the old adage “defense wins championships” ring true once again for the 7th time in the NFL Super Bowl? The girls’ thoughts regarding the national signing day in college football next Wednesday NFL Developmental League set to potentially launch in 2018, how it will work, what benefits the players will receive, and what’s the potential implications this will have on college recruitment for the NFL. Harbaugh’s interesting recruiting technique and his current decision to fly the entire Wolverines team to Rome for 3 of the 15 Spring practices.  
Lindsay’s MVP & LVP of the Week:
This week’s MVP award goes to – Serena Williams for calling out a reporter – and totally winning! This week’s LVP award goes to – New Head Coach of UConn, Randy Edsall, for pulling a New Jersey high school student’s scholarship 17 days before Signing Day.  
Whitney’s MVP & LVP of the Week:
This week’s MVP award goes to – Falcon’s owner, Arthur Blank, for announcing his decision to take his entire staff to the Super Bowl. This week’s LVP award goes to – The Pro Bowl for deciding to hold the game in Orlando instead of Hawaii
