NFL Draft Characters & Shenanigans Girls On The Sideline

This week on the Girls on the Sideline pod, the girls are discussing how the NFL Draft has far exceeded Lindsay’s initial expectations and the record-breaking number of people in attendance. They also discuss some of the fun shenanigans and unexpected surprises that took place throughout the three-day event, including how the draft picks were announced, the “old-fashioned rivalry” feel throughout the event, and one of the most heartwarming events that took place throughout the draft.

Highlights of Today’s Episode:
The Philadelphia Eagles really stepped up to the plate this weekend The way fans reacted each time Roger Goodell stepped on stage This year’s Mr. Irrelevant, Irrelevant Week, and the Mr. Irrelevant jersey The great talent of new players entering the NFL this year The surprising player picks that took place late in the Draft season Could John Lynch win MVP of the 2017 NFL Draft? LSU and Stanford having two players drafted in the Top 10 The University of Michigan had the most players drafted in the 2017 NFL Draft with 11 players, followed by Alabama’s 10, Miami’s 9, and a three-way tie of 8 players each for Utah, LSU, and Florida  
Lindsay’s MVP & LVP of the Week:
This week’s MVP award goes to – Isaiah Thomas of the Boston Celtics – was elbowed in the mouth during the playoff game this week, resulting in losing a tooth. He picks up the tooth then goes on to score 33 points and 9 rebounds. This week’s LVP award goes to – Virginia Tech fans for their over-the-top response to former VA Tech QB Jarod Evans’ tweet about not getting drafted for the NFL.  
Whitney’s MVP & LVP of the Week:
This week’s MVP award goes to – The Baltimore Ravens for allowing 14-year-old cancer survivor T.J. Onwuanibe announce the Raven’s draft pick. This week’s LVP award goes to – ESPN – for announcing on the same day of the NFL draft that they are laying off 100 people.
