Amy S. Bridges and Paula D. Atkinson are Washington DC friend-wives hungry for more social justice, feminism, and truth around our culture's propaganda of weight stigma, diet mentality and thin idealism. Served with delicious sides of current makeup obsessions, celebrity gossip, and carefully considered theories about the queens on RuPaul's Drag Race. Amy and Paula are unapologetically liberal, spiritual, and hysterical. Hope you're hungry.

Absolute joy

I got conned into listening to this podcast by a colleague. This is awesome. Super duper awesome. I love their voices their POV's and how candid and self-aware Paula and Amy is. As dark as this world has become, I truly believe we need podcasts like this one. Awesome job, ladies! Keep up the great work.

New listener. Long time fan.

Insightful and engaging. I enjoy the fearless, honest discussions about difficult concepts that are entrenched in American culture.

I know they’re beneath you, but since you both are (not so) secretly still hungry for a new iTunes review...I figured it was well past time to send one your way.  This podcast has quickly become one of the highlights of my weekly catalog, especially now that I’ve been able to catch up on the most recent episodes (thanks new commute!).  I’ve never been super into podcasts, but this is one of the exceptions; I look forward to getting into a new episode as soon as it comes out.

Amy, Paula, and their occasional guests constantly deliver the perfect mix of pop culture; current events; and spotlights on mental health, race relations, and body politics; all while sprinkling those discussions with their own experiences and witty banter.  If you’re looking for a lot of insight, a lot of sass, and a lot of heart in an easily digestible package, look no further. I truly believe one should never stop learning, and this podcast continuously makes me stop to think about and reevaluate my own biases, instances of fatphobia and participation in diet culture, and (last but certainly not least) shared love of all things Bravo.  Cheers to 104 episodes and to many, many more! FIVE STARS! #hungrybabyforlife #reverseregular
