The girls recapped their lives since their last recording . Candy got to attend her first Friendsgiving. Hali planned and completed her first Mental Health Conference at CAU. Cidnee talked about her experience at Black Tech Week and speaking on a panel in Vegas. Ona talked about spending the rest of her year planning for 2020.

Our guest helped us with the CareFreeBlackGirl of the week- Little Chole Harvard Debate team

The girls take this time to talk about finding your voice and encouraging younger girls to do the same .

A lot happened in black girl land this month and we’re just getting caught up. The big discussion on the table was Ari losing the Album of the Year to Lizzo for the soul train awards.
The girls gave their opinions on how they felt the awards should of gone . Ona brought up a good point of how the industry is and the awards needing more categories. The politics of the award shows is the industry problem and not the artist in the running . The ladies briefly spoke about Grammy nominations and spoke who we’re most excited for. Cidnee was excited to see how many artist she has come across being nominated for Grammy’s . We’re waiting to see what the conversations will be like the night of.

The girls talk Kash Doll’s new album - the girls love the singles not that full project.
Our girl Megan didn’t get any nominations but she was still in the news this week with an alleged fling with Trey Songz. The girls almost gagged only to find out , it was just a friendly hang out . * side eye , we shall see. Hot Girl Meg got to hang out with our other homegirl Ciara and we saw both knees in action. We listened to Ciara’s latest track and decided that the effort is appreciated but we will not be playing Melanin.

We briefly talk Future and other foolish men like his brother T.I. Ona and Candy got to listen to the podcast where T.I. spoke about attending his daughters OBGYN checkups. We won’t promo the podcast but the women did say they were a little uncomfortable with the conversation and later decided to delete the episode. After doing research the statement was very ignorant on T.I.’s part but a little corny for the girls to air the show . Candy talks about the embarrassment Dajaa must feel after the whole ordeal. We’re hoping she is ok from this and we’re hoping she can overcome any issues that rose from his statements. Hali also notes that a broken hymen does not mean that a woman is not a virgin.

On a serious note

Cidnee went to Tulsa Oklahoma and learned about Black Wall Street in the early 1900. A very wealthy place for black people with lost of prosperity, businesses and wealth. The KKK burned the whole block down after a while woman said someone stole something from them. The block was burned and it turned into a whole race war . In 2019 the location has been memorialized along with a museum with the families names and the amount of money they lost. The ladies challenge more black people to teach their children more history outside of what taught in the classroom.

On another serious note we talk about Alexis Crawford who was killed by roommate and her roommates boyfriend. Crawford was raped by Jordyn’s boyfriend and reported it. Alexis went missing days after the report and was later found dead. Jordyns boyfriend confessed to the murder and told authorities that it was her idea. The group has been arrested and is being held without bond. We are praying for the Crawford family. Hali talks about the steps CAU is taking to help the students.

Sex Trafficking is a big deal in the Atlanta area and across the US right now . We encourage our listeners to take precaution when traveling. There are groups of women getting people to sign up for a church , white vans and more . If you feel weird . Call
