Francesca Paladin represents the third generation of Casa Paladin winery, she grew up in the winery, doing every sort task in the winery harvest, bottling, retail. She graduated in International economics, master's degree in International management, and Sommelier with FISAR association. After her studies she immediately got into the heart of the winery, initially to support the domestic commercial office, and then managing marketing and export to foreign markets such as the USA, and part of Germany.

Born in the USA, she’s lived in Europe since 1990. Italian wine, in particular rosé, is her passion. She works with embassies, corporations and private clients, creating and presenting tastings, events, seminars and in-depth courses. Cynthia is a wine writer, a judge at international wine and sake competitions, she consults with restaurants and enotecas developing comprehensive wine lists and food pairings, and she advises clients who want to curate an Italian wine collection. She currently works for Vinitaly International in Verona as a Project Manager, Educator, and the host of VOICES Series on The Italian Wine Podcast, focusing on diversity and inclusion in the global wine industry.

Marc and his photographer wife Kim are the authors of 14 books including a pioneering series of illustrated wine-food-travel books: The Wine Roads of Europe, The Wine Roads of France, The Wine Roads of Italy (Premio Barbi Colombini), and The Wine Roads of Spain. More about today’s winery - Tornatore Winery
The company's agricultural activity is based on the ownership and direct control of a joint-stock company which owns 60 ha of land located in the Castiglione di Sicilia countryside and another 40 ha held directly. Approximately 46 ha of land are cultivated with vineyards, 8 ha with olive groves and 5 ha with hazelnut groves, the rest is being reconverted; for this reason, today the Tornatore company owns the largest vineyard within the Etna Doc production area. By extension, the vineyards of the Tornatore company today constitute the largest Etna DOC vineyard in the production area. There are various districts affected by the company's vineyards: among these the prestigious districts of Crasà, Pietrarizzo, Malpasso, Pietramarina, Torre Guarino, Carranco and Trimarchisa, all in the municipality of Castiglione di Sicilia. The altitude varies from 550 to 700 m above sea level and the age varies from 5 to 45 years for reds and 5 years for whites.

McKenna found her love of wine while serving in a Napa Valley tasting room. She later graduated from the University of Notre Dame and pursued wine on the East Coast with E. & J. Gallo Winery. She has worked in wine distribution for restaurants and luxury retail stores for the past three years.
Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, McKenna is a Certified Specialist of Wine (2021), Certified Sommelier (2022), and Italian Wine Ambassador (2023).

The one who checks all the facts and regulates when we mistakenly type “Verdicchio” in place of “Vermentino.” Attilio Scienza is a full professor at the University of Milan in the Department of Agricultural and Food Sciences where he teaches courses on genetic improvements to the vine; he also teaches Viticulture in the Master’s program of the University of Turin in Asti. He has been the lead for many national research projects in the field of physiology, agricultural techniques, and vine genetics. As the author of over 350 publications on vine and viticulture in national and international journals, you can bet he knows his stuff!
