Ersilia Pompilio, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, storyteller

Episode Notes:

Ersilia Pompilio (www.roguenursemedia.com) is a pediatric nurse practitioner, storyteller, writing teacher,  and freelance writer. She's also the CEO of Rogue Nurse Media 501(c)3 with a mission to empower nurses and patients to tell their stories. She also hosts and produces the podcast Nurses and hypochondriacs. Ersilia knew that she would end up working in medicine from a young age, but ten years ago she was left feeling unfulfilled and resentful. As a nurse, you undoubtedly spend most of your time caring for others and it’s easy to end up feeling neglected. Ersilia’s solution for nurse burnout? Fearlessly developing the creativity she left behind in high school. Find out what it did for Ersilia and her nursing career to take the plunge into creativity and risk failure. Today, Ersilia is thriving in all areas!

Weekly Challenge:

Dear adult friends, we are going to become children this week. The challenge is to play for ten minutes a day— play so hard you get lost in it. if you don’t know where to start just pick anything. Go to the kid’s aisle of the store and buy whatever calls to you. Then engage with that thing fully for ten minutes. If you hate it, pick something else the next day. It’s amazing what can come of play. You never know: You might buy play-doh and end up a sculptor. While this was curated by Ersilia as a solution for nurse burnout, I think it works for every single person. Follow me @sheajackie on IG for weekly challenge updates!
