We're starting to setting into the football off season with weekend activities not centered around Texas Tech football. We'll have basketball most Saturdays, but the end of football for Tech came far too soon this season.
Texas Tech basketball is up to #13 in the AP poll while Erik Haslam has both the Tech offense and defense slated as #23. We discuss the distinct possibility that Tech will be in the top 10 going into the matchup with Duke in Madison Square Garden. Basketball discussion begins at 18:40.
This past weekend, new head football coach Matt Wells had his introductory press conference and offensive coordinator David Yost as well as defensive coordinator Keith Patterson were made available to the media. We also heard from true freshman QB Alan Bowman for the first time. All parties involved left good impressions, with probably Patterson's leaving the most to be desired as he's not as much of a known quantity. We also try to address the recruiting issues with Tech losing verbal commits and why it doesn't indicate the sky is falling...yet. Football discussion starts at 36:15.
