In between these two events, Hagrid gives Dudley a pig's tail, takes Harry shopping to Diagon Alley, helps Harry withdraw his parents' money from Gringotts and also gets him a snowy owl as a birthday present. Harry also meets a very Dudley-like boy in Madam Malkins, the robe shop, whom he immediately dislikes. Harry then goes to buy a wand, learns more about his parents' murderer and also finds the perfect wand for himself.
