Now for this week’s episode we speak to Diana Gerbehy about her struggles with breast cancer over the past few years. Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, we are going to have two episodes with Diana to educate you all as best we can about this disease and to hope it will inspire everyone to CHECK YOUR T*****S because other than skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common cancer among American women. Here is an article based off a 2014 study by Joseph Palamar (who did previous studies about the effects of drinking and smoking on sexual performance/enjoyment) from Cosmopolitan. Please note the study was based on the experiences of gay and bisexual men. It was estimated that in 2019 there would be 268,600 new cases of invasive breast cancer in women as well as 62,930 cases of non-invasive breast cancer.13:00: Here is a link to a study published in the Journal of Adolescent Health entitled, “Sexually Transmitted Infection Testing Among Adolescents and Young Adults in the United States.” Basically, the study talks about how people aged 15-25 have high rates of STIs and low rates of screening. The biggest factor according to the researchers is that people have confidentiality concerns regarding their results.28:30: The Go Flat Movement has really been gaining steam in the last few years.
