Ep. 38 - Philippians - Chapter 4 Adorned Podcast

    • Christianity

This week we dive into the fourth and final chapter of Philippians.  Paul addresses the importance of rejoicing in The Lord and being content in all circumstances.   He wraps up his letter by reminding the church at Philippi that God is their ultimate provider.  At the end of this episode we discuss how the Lord spoke to us individually while studying this short, but rich book of the Bible.  God is so good to meet us right where we are!  We hope that you have enjoying walking through Philippians with us!

Quotes:

“To be loved, but not known is comforting, but superficial.  But to be known and not loved is our greatest fear. But to be fully known and truly loved is a lot like being loved by God.  It is what we need more than anything. It liberates us from pretense, humbles us out of our self-righteousness, and fortifies us for any difficulty life can throw at us.” -Tim Keller

“God is sovereign and Jesus is enough.” -Bethany Roszhart

“We need to learn these things in the light so we can stand on them in the dark.”

“The heart cannot love what the mind does not know.” -Jen Wilkin

“I think there is a bit of holy discontentment that pushes us to spread the gospel and to love people.”

“God can use any means and any people to accomplish His will.”
