Environmental Action Summit Peak Environment

The Colorado Springs Environmental Action Summit on March 5, 2019 brought together organizations and individuals working on environmental action  – in order to coalesce a more effective environmental movement. Members and leaders from over 50 organizations, including Sierra Club, 350.org, ENACT, Green Cities Coalition, the Pikes Peak Justice & Peace Commission, and GrowthBusters.
Kevin Mitchell of Empowerment Solidarity Network provided the keynote address, which was followed by a panel that included Ian Johnson, Director of the Colorado College Office of Sustainability; Bryna Coyle, Zero Waste intern at the CC Office of Sustainability; Amy Gray, Volunteer Coordinator for 350 Colorado; Eli Fahrenkrug, Professor of Chemistry at Colorado College; and Sabrina Cotta, Innovation and Sustainability Analyst at the Colorado Springs Innovation & Sustainability Department.
