Who Gives a Scrap‪?‬ Peak Environment

    • Society & Culture

Who Gives a Scrap is a donation based scrap store in Colorado Springs and Fort Collins that carries an impressive mix of arts, craft and hobby supplies in addition to unique vintage finds. At the April, 2019 Green Drinks, co-founders Jayne Blewitt and Lorrie Myers shared their story and how the store works. It’s an excellent resource for teachers, and it’s a beautiful alternative to tossing scraps and supplies you no longer need. Visit www.WhoGivesaScrapColorado.com for locations and information about what they accept and what you’ll find.
“A woman’s craft room is the same as a man’s garage.”
This episode of Peak Environment is courtesy of the Green Cities Coalition, communicating the promise of embracing sustainable actions in our environment and with one another. We strive to collaborate in positive ways and create partnerships with other people and organizations inside and outside of the sustainability community.
Ultimately, our goal is to celebrate with you the achievements of those who contribute to the preservation and health of our local natural and human environments. We invite you to Communicate, Collaborate and Celebrate all things sustainable with us!
Join us at our next Green Drinks gathering, Thursday, May 23, 5:30-7:30 pm. This one begins at PikeRide, 739 E. Pikes Peak Avenue. We’ll have the opportunity to try out their bikes on a ride to Local Relic for refreshments and further conversation.
