Hello there Skywalkers! We are back for an exciting new episode of Skywalking Through The League, we talk about everything from Chewie to release dates, to books! Here's what we've got this week!
1. A Peter Mayhew Tribute
Last week we said goodbye to an absolute icon in the Star Wars universe and our world in general. Peter Mayhew, the man behind Chewbacca was become one with the Force. We decided to honor his legacy and talk about what he meant to us personally, and the Star Wars universe, and world as whole. We read touching statements from people integral to the Star Wars world including Harrison Ford, Kathleen Kennedy, Billy Dee Williams, and Mark Hamill and end with our favorite Chewie moments of all time. Thank you Peter, without you Star Wars just wouldn't been have wonderful as it is.
2. Untitled Star Wars Release Dates
Lucasfilm and Disney came down from the mountain and declared that it's time to take a break....from the movies. After The Rise of Skywalker we are taking a three year break from Star Wars films until 2022. What are we supposed to do now? Is it the Game of Thrones guys trilogy, Rian Johnson's trilogy, or are they alternating? Or are they something else? We break it down and speculate our asses off about what it could mean.
3. Journey To The Rise of Skywalker Books and Comics Announced!
Rejoice! We've got A LOT of new Star Wars novels and comics coming out in the build up to the release of Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker and there are some awesome canon stories coming. Including stories with Rey, Finn, Poe, and Leia after the events of The Last Jedi and of course we talk about that incredible cover for The art of The Rise of Skywalker.
