We will never go wrong if we direct our lives by the commandments and principles taught to us in Scripture. After a misguided spiritual decision ended in tragedy, David struggled with the consequences of his ill informed plans to bring the ark of the covenant to Jerusalem. Finally, David gave voice to a question that should have been asked long before, "How can I bring the ark of the Lord to me?" When was the last time you stopped to ask God how you should act?
