54: Amy Carmichael: Misionera reformadora social en la India BITE

Nacida hace 150 años, esta mujer misionera soltera, a menudo enferma, de Irlanda del Norte, se atrevió a desafiar la trata de personas en la India.
El hinduismo alentaba la esclavitud de los niños en los templos. Allí las niñas se vendían para "casarse" o prostituirse con los sacerdotes del templo Brahmin.
Cuando ésta misionera descubrió lo que estaba sucediendo, la práctica la horrorizó tanto que comenzó a trabajar para rescatar a las niñas de estos templos. Posteriormente, su estación de misión en el sur de la India, creció para acomodar a cientos de niñas y niños.
