    • Education

Conversations with Dr. Walker is a podcast about personal development and growth.

This is episode 2 of 5 in the Messy Me series. This episode is called "The Voices."

I help people find their voices, redefine their lives, and live in their purpose on purpose. My purpose is to bring light to darkness. In this discussion, I talk about Messy Me, literally. However, this is not a gossip session, but an introspective conversation that sheds light on my mess.

We all have messes. Some of us choose to own it, while others pretend that their lives are perfect...perfectly messy. In this episode, I share a personal experience that lead to negative self talk. The discussion goes deep into negative self talk, negative influences, and provides insightful information on how to get rid of negativity once and for all.

My goal is to evoke your ability to look within and conduct an honest inventory of your life. Are you currently struggling with negative self talk or negativity from other sources? Well, it is time to turn the negative voices into positive voices and live out LOUD! It is all about personal development. Join me on this personal development journey.

Steps for getting rid of negativity.
1. Assess yourself and those around you.
2. Acknowledge that words are powerful.
3. Shift from a self reliant to God reliant lifestyle.

4 practical steps to use your words in a powerful way.
1. Daily affirmations
2. Change what you allow to enter your body: music, media, etc.
3. Set goals with deadlines and strive to accomplish them.
4. Change your speech. Eliminate negative words such as "not" "can't" "won't" as much a possible.

Meditation Verse:
Proverbs 18:21 The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

May this be a blessing to you!
