    211: Host of “Betrayal” and Award-Winning Producer - Jenifer Faison

    In a riveting new episode of The 1 Girl Revolution Podcast, listeners are introduced to the remarkable Jenifer Faison, award-winning producer and host of the groundbreaking podcast "Betrayal" and the gripping docuseries "Betrayal: The Perfect Husband" on Hulu - based on her own fairytale love story turned cautionary tale about betrayal and deceit.
    Jenifer is an award-winning producer who is well-known for her work on “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition”, Judge Judy, VanderPump Villa, and more. After 20 years apart, Jenifer reconnected with her college sweetheart, Spencer, and at the age of 42 - they got married. To everyone, including Jenifer, Spencer was the “perfect husband”, but what she didn’t know is that he was hiding shocking secrets and covering it up by love-bombing and his seeming “perfection.”
    Spencer was a two-time Teacher of the Year and Jenifer was convinced she married the perfect husband. But on June 1, 2018, that all changed. Jenifer came home to find Spencer holding a search warrant. He had sexually assaulted one of his students. In the days that followed Spencer’s arrest, Jenifer uncovered a dark, secret life her husband had been living during their entire marriage. His actions shook a community, devastated his wife, and sent Spencer to prison.
    Jenifer’s journey, as she climbed out of the devastation, led her on a mission to shed light on some of society's darkest secrets, delving into the complexities of betrayal, deception, and the human psyche – and shedding light on and bringing to light so many stories like her own.
    In this episode, Jenifer shares her own life story and talks about how her #1 podcast “Betrayal” and Hulu docuseries “Betrayal: The Perfect Husband” is empowering others to share their stories, giving other women the courage to speak up, and bringing these individuals and their stories to justice.
    In this episode, you’ll hear:
    Jenifer’s life story and how she got into television and production;
    The story of how Spencer and Jenifer reconnected and fell in love;
    About the fairytale romance and how it all came crashing down;
