Ep. 2 - Presuppositional Economics(?) [with Zac Johnson) Christ and Capital Podcast
-
- Business
In this episode I am joined by Zac Johnson (my big little brother) to talk about apologetics.
What is apologetics? How do we use God’s word to reason with unbelievers or to justify our claims about the world? We go through a couple of examples of objections to using the Bible as our standard and we discuss how everyone has a worldview. Is what you say about reality consistent with the way you live and interact in the world?
This framework, which we call the presuppositional approach, directly applies to business and economics. We talk through a couple of ways that self-proclaimed secularist people and businesses assume a Biblical worldview even though they reject it with what they say.
And yes, I ask a police officer how the Bible applies to his job as an enforcer of the law.
