The police are the problem. Sorry, I know that is hard for a lot of people to hear in America. But I think it is absolutely true.
People watch a police officer straight out murder a man in the street, in broad daylight, while he knows he’s being filmed, and then they watch that officer walk free for four full days.
So they protest. They protest against a lynching of a black man. They protest racist policing. They protest police abuse. They protest against police brutality itself.
And how do the police deal with these protests? With abuse, with brutality. Savage, violent, unchecked brutality. And, no, I will not couch these terms. Police forces are behaving like stormtroopers all across this country.
